This year the Youth Art Fair will feature online art workshops and a 6 by 6 inch Youth Art Contest! On Saturday, Feb. 27, Jinny Hyun, Kittie Yohe, and Patty Marfise-Patt will guide online art workshops for artists in three age groups. Young artists in and outside of Glenview can register here to receive supply lists and zoom links. Participants are encouraged to send photos of their work to glenviewartleague@att.net to be featured on the Glenview Art League website.
Workshop Schedule: Saturday, February 27, 2021
- 11:30 a.m. – Springtime Flutter with Jinny Hyun, for pre-K through grade 3
- 1 p.m. – Sea Turtle painting with Kittie Yohe, grades 4-7
- 2:30 p.m. – Vision Board Art Project with Patty Marfise-Patt, grades 8-12
Young artists can also participate in a special Youth Art Contest! The GAL distributed free six inch canvases at the Glenview Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on February 20, 2021. There are a few canvases left – if you’d like to participate contact Deb at debrhanderson@gmail.com to arrange pick up. Completed paintings must be returned to the library between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 20. Soon after that prizes will be awarded, and paintings will be put on display. More details will be available soon.
