Creating art has always been an important part of Essie Landsman’s life. Many years ago, she was awarded a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago, which helped cultivate her love of drawing and painting. After working in oils for several years, Essie experimented in watercolors and was enchanted by this elusive, wonderful medium. She now works exclusively in watercolors. Essie has created numerous custom pieces and commissions, and has displayed her work at various galleries and juried art festivals. Her watercolors are in public and private collections throughout the country. Essie is currently chairperson of the Glenview Art League Exhibits Committee.
