Mary Olson – I am drawn to scenes that are rich in detail and that offer me the opportunity to infuse my own perspective.  Watercolor is a favorite medium of mine. I delight in its almost magical properties. As the colors dry I watch them evolve into the images that I had in my mind’s eye. They play with me.  I use a good quality canvas for my oil paintings and employ Winsor and Newton oils and watercolors to ensure the highest quality in my work.  My goal as an artist is to turn on the viewer’s imagination. If each person takes away something different in experiencing a piece of my work, I’m totally satisfied.
