Robert Gold began oil painting in his teens. After immigrating to the United States in 1973 he discovered hairstyling as another opportunity to practice art.  Putting his passion for painting to the side, Robert began what would ultimately become an incredibly successful career as a hairstylist.  Robert opened his eponymous salon Robert Gold Salon & Spa in Evanston.  Over the past several years, Robert decided to revisit his love for painting and began practicing acrylic pour.  Now in retirement, Robert has enjoyed keeping himself busy with this new found passion.
