Joel Trammell was born, raised and educated in northeast Georgia.  He moved to the Chicago area 15 years ago to join Northwestern University’s College of Arts and Sciences as an associate dean.  After retiring last year, he shifted more attention into art appreciation, especially painting and photography.  His primary interest is acrylic pouring, but he enjoys oil on canvas as well.
