2021

The Glenview Art League has been holding its Annual Youth Art Fair at Attea Middle School for 32 years. Due to CoVid restrictions, the League got creative and instead offered free classes on Sat, Feb 27th for students. Jinny Hyun taught a Spring project to grades pre-K through 3. Kittie Yohe demonstrated drawing and painting a turtle to grades 4-7, and Patty Mafiss-Patt discussed and presented information on creating a vision board to grades 8-12. More than 70 students registered for these inspiring step-by-step art projects and all enjoyed the programs.
In addition, a 6x6” Canvas Competition was held for all ages. Free canvases were distributed to 60 students and are now on display at JourneyCare Care Center in the atrium of the Administration building at 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, through June 30th..

First place winners were Aditya Narayana (age 7) and Emmaline Klatt (age 11).
Honorable Mention was awarded to Antoni Are (age 6), Natalie Krueger (age 10), and Meredith Anderson (age 17).
