October 6: Yvonne Wolf presents East Asian Gardens

We welcome Yvonne Wolf to give an online presentation Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. All are invited to use this zoom link to attend! Yvonne Wolf gives a short background on the aesthetics of the Japanese and the Chinese gardens. Find out the Confucian symbolism expressed in gardens and how they are used to relieve stress and cultivate inner peace. The artistic introduction will focus on 5 specific plants and trees.

Educator Yvonne Wolf specializes in bringing an element of Chinese culture to a relatable understanding. She taught Chinese language and culture at Glenbrook South High School and offered interactive lessons at International Festivals. She has given presentations at libraries, museums, and community centers. She is a member of Sumi-e Midwest.
Note: the GAL will be holding a brief all-members meeting before Yvonne’s talk begins.
