The Glenview Art League and Busey Bank are thrilled to announce a new art exhibit, 1868 The Exhibition, to be displayed in Busey’s Downtown Glenview service center located at 800 Waukegan Rd. in Glenview. Each piece will be for sale, with 100% of purchasing price going to the artist. A digital exhibition will also be available on Busey.com.
Busey Bank is looking to showcase the work of multiple local artists who are members of the Glenview Art League, chosen through a jury selection process. All selected pieces will be displayed from January 2024 through June 2024. The service center is currently open from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday or Saturday 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for artists who would like to view the specific wall site and surrounding area. Please note that display areas will be located in between the first floor and mezzanine level.
Deadline submission is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 6.
Late work will not be considered. Selected artists will be contacted on before November 30 with further instructions. The date for the opening reception is tentatively scheduled for early 2024.
Busey Bank 1868 Exhibition Requirements
- Each artist may submit up to 3 images of original work for consideration
- All 2D mediums will be considered
- Submissions must be appropriate for all viewing audiences
- No submission fee required
- Artwork must be no larger than 30 inches tall including frame (horizontal pieces preferred)
- Selected artwork must be ready to hang
- Artwork cannot weigh more than 40 pounds
- Artwork can be one individual piece or made up of multiple panels that are part of one cohesive piece and fit within the size requirements
- Building owners and/or management are not liable for any damage to selected art
- A contract will be signed by both parties upon art drop off
- All entries must be submitted online with this form (in person delivery of submissions to Busey Bank will not be accepted)
