Artists and art patrons enjoyed beautiful weather and a new location for the Glenview Art League’s 68th Annual Summer Art Fair. Forty-five artists shared handmade paintings, photographs, sculptures and ceramics, jewelry, mixed media artwork and more. Live music, kids activities, and food trucks rounded out the community event.

2022 Summer Art Fair Chair Tom Pope adapted to many changes in cooperation with experts from the Village of Glenview, Glenview School District 34, and the Glenview Park District and more than many Glenview Art League volunteers.

Food was provided by Buona Beef on Saturday, Culinary Gangster on Sunday, and an ice cream truck. Musicians included Emily Patt, Reva Goodwin, Saffer Court Two, Nancy Kabat, Tofu Fighters, Terminally Hip and students from Twelve Tone Music School.

Thanks to community sponsors: Abt (Silver Sponsor), Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Keonig Rublof Realty Group – The Doetsch Team, Del Vasey State Farm Insurance Agent, and Yoga Six.

Many thanks to the volunteers, including: Kimberly Schlarman, Cynthia Gitter, Hana Choi, Barb Kirpluk, Ray Piskule, Delayne Rittmueller, Carrie Pizarro, Tom Sheagren, Peggy Kullman, Howard Frank, Nancy Halliday, Christiane Bouret, Kerri Mangold, Bob Leopold, Laurie Walker, Iris Jutovsky, Eric Lee, Joanne Varga Tatge, Julia Miller, Jim Lavengood, Delayne Rittmueller, Kittie Yohe, Sara Patt, Adele Aaronson, and Hana Mohammed Raffi.

Thanks to our fearless chair, Tom Pope! And to longstanding SAF royalty, Sandy Sheagren and her family. Thanks to Renata Maliszewski, the GAL Administrative Assistant. Thanks to Deb Anderson and Patty Marfiss-Patt, who served on the SAF committee. The Summer Art Fair is our biggest event. It takes a lot of effort, creativity and planning to carry this tradition forward, but together we made it great!
