Iliana Cardona
I am a Puerto Rican intuitive mixed media artist, born and raised on Chicago’s north side. I have been creating since the age of 4.
I majored in art at Lincoln Park High School and was in Advanced Placement art at Senn Metropolitan Academy.
I graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Women’s Studies.
During this time I was able to take various art classes, including at Loyola’s Rome Center in Italy.
Since college I have been focused on my family and a 23 year career in violent crime victim advocacy.
During Covid I used my art as a meditative practice and form of self care. I was also able to take courses with wonderful teachers around the world.
In 2024, I retired from my career in advocacy work and decided to practice my art full time.
I hope to share my processes with others in order to help them find their needed peace and joy through art.
